Pre-sale pricing lets you offer tickets at a discounted early-bird price for a limited time. When the pre-sale period ends, the price automatically reverts to the standard price — no manual changes needed.

How pre-sale tickets work

  • You define a pre-sale price and a pre-sale end date/time on a booking tier.
  • Before the pre-sale ends, customers see and pay the discounted price.
  • After the pre-sale ends, the standard price applies automatically.
  • Customers who purchased during the pre-sale retain their discounted booking — their price is locked in at purchase.

Setting up pre-sale pricing

  1. Open your event and navigate to the booking tier you want to add pre-sale pricing to.
  2. In the tier editor, find the Pre-sale pricing section.
  3. Enter the pre-sale price (must be lower than the standard price).
  4. Set the pre-sale end date and time — after this point, sales continue at the full price.
  5. Save the tier.

Example

PeriodPrice
Now → 7 days before event€10 (pre-sale)
7 days before → event day€15 (standard)

How customers see pre-sale pricing

On the event page, customers see the pre-sale price with the standard price shown as a strikethrough, so they know they’re getting a deal:
€15 €10 — Early Bird (pre-sale ends in 3 days)

Important notes

  • Pre-sale is not available on recurring events. All occurrences of a recurring event use standard pricing only.
  • Pre-sale applies per booking tier. You can have one tier at full price and another with pre-sale pricing simultaneously.
  • Pre-sale pricing doesn’t change existing bookings. Customers who already booked at the pre-sale price keep their discounted rate even after the pre-sale ends.

Can I offer multiple pre-sale tiers?

Yes. The recommended approach is to create separate booking tiers:
  1. Super Early Bird — €8, available quantity: 50, sale ends 14 days before event
  2. Early Bird — €10, available quantity: 100, sale ends 3 days before event
  3. Standard — €15, available until event day
As earlier tiers sell out or expire, customers naturally move to the next available option.

What if I want to extend the pre-sale period?

Simply edit the pre-sale end date on the booking tier to a later date/time. Changes take effect immediately.
