XO supports two distinct types of booking options: Tickets and Reservations. Each serves a different purpose, and you can offer both on the same event.

Tickets (Entry Passes)

A ticket grants entry to the event. When a customer books tickets, they receive a QR-code entry pass for each ticket in their order — one pass per person. Use tickets when:
  • You’re selling general admission or tiered entry (e.g., Standard, VIP)
  • You want to track and control the number of people entering
  • You need to scan guests at the door
How it works:
  • Customer selects a ticket type and quantity (e.g., 2 × Standard Entry at €20 each).
  • On confirmation, they receive one QR-code entry pass per ticket.
  • Your staff scans each pass at the door.

Reservations (Tables / Areas)

A reservation books a specific table, booth, section, or area at your venue. The customer is reserving a space, not individual entry passes. Use reservations when:
  • You’re managing table bookings for a nightclub, bar, or restaurant-style event
  • You want to capture the number of guests per table
  • You offer bottle service or minimum spend requirements
How it works:
  • Customer selects a reservation type and specifies the number of guests (e.g., 1 × VIP Booth for 6 people).
  • The booking can be instant (confirmed immediately) or require your approval before confirming.
  • Once confirmed, the customer receives a booking confirmation — not individual QR passes.

Can I offer both tickets and reservations on the same event?

Yes, you can create multiple booking tiers of different types on the same event. For example:
  • General Admission (ticket) — €15 per person
  • Standard Table for 2–4 guests (reservation) — €50 per table + €10 per person
  • VIP Booth for 6–10 guests (reservation) — €200 per booth + €30 per person
Note: A single booking cannot mix tickets and reservations. A customer must place separate bookings if they want both a ticket and a reservation.
