# How do I link a voucher to an event?

> Link and unlink individual vouchers to specific events so customers can apply them at checkout.

Vouchers are discount instruments that customers can apply to their bookings — similar to promo codes but typically distributed individually (e.g., sent directly to a customer). Linking a voucher to an event makes it available for customers to use when booking that event.

## How vouchers work in XO

1. Vouchers are created at the venue or platform level with a specific discount value and conditions.
2. You link a voucher to a specific event, making it eligible for use on that event.
3. The customer applies their voucher code during checkout — the same way as a promo code.
4. The discount is applied and the customer pays the reduced amount.

## Linking a voucher to an event

1. Open your event in the admin panel.
2. Scroll to the **Vouchers** section.
3. Click **Add Voucher** and select the voucher from the list.
4. Save the event.

The voucher is now active for that event. Customers with the voucher code can apply it during booking.

## Unlinking a voucher from an event

1. Open your event and go to the **Vouchers** section.
2. Find the voucher you want to remove.
3. Click the remove/unlink button next to it.
4. Save the event.

The voucher is no longer accepted for new bookings on this event. Existing bookings with the voucher already applied are not affected.

## Who creates the vouchers?

Vouchers are created and managed at the platform level. To create new vouchers or get a list of available vouchers for your venue, contact your XO account manager or support at [support@thexo.app](mailto:support@thexo.app).

## Can I link the same voucher to multiple events?

Yes. A voucher can be linked to multiple events simultaneously. This is useful for a loyalty reward that works across all your events, or a promotion running across a whole season.

## Can I see which vouchers are linked to my event?

Yes. In the **Vouchers** section of your event in the admin panel, you'll see a list of all vouchers currently linked to that event, including their discount value and validity status.
